Henryka Supports Retailers With Competition at CMJ Buying Event

British jewellery brand Henryka has announced details of a competition for retailers attending the upcoming Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) buying event.
Henryka Supports Retailers With Competition at CMJ Buying Event

To celebrate its first-year anniversary as an approved supplier of the buying group, Henryka will offer independent retailers and buyers the chance to win a £150 wholesale voucher. This can be used by the brand’s existing CMJ retail partners to add to their in-store ranges or by potential stockists who wish to sample Henryka’s best-sellers.
Visitors to the Hilton Metropole on August 5 and 6 can visit Henryka’s stand to enter the prize draw.
Henryka sales manager, Hollie Francis, says: “We are pleased to be attending our third CMJ buying event. Since joining the CMJ we have partnered with several fantastic independent retailers and we look forward to establishing new relationships as we head towards the Christmas sales period.”
The last 12-months have been a busy time for the brand, which has taken on its first sales agent for the South East, updated its marketing and point of sale materials, invested in a new brand photoshoot and expanded its sterling silver jewellery offer.
Henryka will also take part in this year’s International Jewellery London trade event.

Singapore International Jewelry Expo to commence from 26 July 2018

AIGS warns about fake gem reports

Singapore International Jewelry Expo to commence from 26 July 2018

The Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS) has issued a warning to the international diamond industry over fake gemstone reports bearing its logo.

The counterfeit reports contain a working QR code that directs users to a fake website with the suffix co, rather than com.

“Some unscrupulous people have decided to rip off customers by using AIGS’s name,” AIGS chairman Kennedyy Ho said last week. “Indeed, they have created fake AIGS reports which look like genuine ones.”

The only way to be sure a report is genuine is to check the AIGS website directly, or to send AIGS a photo of the report by email, he noted.

The AIGS intends to take legal action against the counterfeiters, Ho added.

Goldsmiths Continues to Roll Out Luxury Refurbishments | The Jewellery Magazine

Multiple UK jewellery retailer Goldsmiths has completed a six-figure renovation at its Middlesbrough store.

Goldsmiths continues to roll out luxury refurbishments

Following a £30,000 refit, Goldsmiths has now opened the doors to a transformed space complete with a new area dedicated to luxury Swiss watch brand Rolex.

The refurbishment follows a £1m investment in Birmingham and nods to the jeweler focusing on the luxury end of the market.

The Middlesbrough showroom, which stands at 106 sqm, boasts a selection of coveted labels including Gucci, Tissot, and Rado alongside the classic Rolex

timepieces. Shoppers can also browse fine jewelry styles from Mappin & Webb as well as pieces from the retailer’s exclusive collaboration with bridal

designer Jenny Packham.

Goldsmiths’ executive director, Craig Bolton, comments: “We are pleased to officially open our newly-refurbished Middlesbrough showroom and the expansion of

our premium offering here with the introduction of the branded Rolex area.

“As one of Teesside’s main shopping districts, we felt this was a great opportunity to augment our in-store experience and hope our valued customer base in

the region enjoys coming to us even more.”

Goldsmiths, which is owned by Aurum Holdings (soon to be named The Watches of Switzerland Group), says that it chose to spend money upgrading its Linthorpe

Road premises in Middlesbrough because of its excellent location and proximity to a major shopping district.

Brian Shute, manager of the Middlesbrough store, adds: “We are all really excited for this next chapter for our showroom and to take the business forward with a brand new look.”
